| Digital terrain model |
|
The digital terrain model provides an accurate, high density and complete
height dataset covering Great Britain. More commonly known as a "Bald Earth"
model, the data removes all trees, buildings and other man-made structures to
leave the underlying terrain height information. The DTM was created from the
NEXTMap Britain™ survey.

Digital surface model |
|
This dataset provides the only accurate, high density and complete digital
surface model covering Great Britain. More commonly known as a "Canopy Model"
model, the data includes surface features such as trees and buildings and was
created from the NEXTMap Britain™ survey. The DSM is ideal for applications
such as radio signal propagation analysis, noise and wind modelling or in
combination with aerial photography to create 3D landscapes.

LiDAR |
|
LiDAR has revolutionised the acquisition of digital eleveation data and has
quickly become a de facto method of collecting height and surface information
for a myriad of applications and analysis. There is no other method that can
collect ground and surface height information as quickly, accurately and as
cost-effectively. These factors make LiDAR a highly viable option for all
application that require height, volume or 3D visualisation information.

|
Product highlights
• Collected by a laser at intervals of between 1m and 2m on the ground and
vertical accuracy of each height point is +/- 15cm.
• Referenced to the National Grid system allowing to be easily integrated with
other geographic databases and Ordnance Survey Mapping.
• Available in a variety of formats.
• Extensive coverage of UK urban areas available.More
