Aerial Photography
Getmapping are pioneers of modern aerial photography and operate two of the very latest Vexcel UltraCam digital cameras, which enable acquisition of 12.5 cm pixel resolution vertical imagery. These cameras replace film cameras used to acquire the original 25cm Millennium Map imagery acquired between 1999-2003.
As part of the AeroGRID consortium Getmapping has access to an unparalleled vertical imagery acquisition resource totalling 10 aircraft.
Getmapping’s flying program in 2008/2009 includes large parts of Greater London, and the completion of a 4 year project to fly the whole of Scotland. It is also planning to fly the whole of Wales during the Summer.
